It is our great pleasure to invite you to drop by the Launch Ceremony/Reception of the 25th Anniversary Book, Prometheus In The Sky. This Book Launch also serves as the final event of a 16-month celebration of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) for its 25th Anniversary. This event is a fitting climax as the book serves as a memory of HKUST's short and fascinating history so far, from 1991 to 2016.
Over the past 25 years, HKUST is committed to advance learning and knowledge through teaching and research, and to assist in the economic and social development of Hong Kong. We have taken the initiative to drive frontier research and to educate well-rounded students to acquire a strong entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking.
Our 25th Anniversary celebration ends on February 28 2017. At this final celebration event on 27 February, we will be pleased to present to you our 25th Anniversary Book, Prometheus In The Sky that contains 25 stories of distinguished researches from all four schools in HKUST. The book cannot possibly capture all the accomplishments of all the people in our short history, but it is a well-represented collection of our inspirations and joy, selected by the Editorial Committee.
